Oh how precious! Couldn’t resist this photo to use for my theme about ‘waiting’.
Right now my husband and I are eagerly awaiting the publishing of our devotional book ‘My Bible Tells Me So’.
The publisher has our manuscript. Three weeks ago they sent the finals for the back page, description of book and about the author. Last week they sent proofs of ideas for the cover page and we chose the one that we liked the best. That was very exciting.
And now this week they have to format the actual book, the insides. Not sure how long that will take. But oh the waiting!
Is anybody out there good at waiting? Of course, waiting for something good and waiting for something bad are two very different things. Right now we are waiting for something good! And we are so excited.
After 8 months of research and writing and rewriting and revisions, (8 revisions all at the hands of my capable husband/editor) we have handed over our precious project to Friesen Press and trusted them with our baby.
In the meantime, I have so far booked 3 speaking engagements in the hopes that the book will be ready on time and I can take some books with me. I am trying to keep busy but none of that busyness compares with the purpose and joy I have had creating this devotional.
Nothing compares to spending hours and hours in God’s word. It really is as the bible says in Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
Wow, that makes the word of God sound like a tool! And it is! It is the most important tool in a Christian’s toolbox for life. I am so thankful for this opportunity to spend a lot of time in my Bible and share it with you.
I will let you know as soon as it is available.
But for now, whatever you are going through, don’t give up. Turn to God and he will turn to you with his unfailing love.
